Dr. Jorge Uribe grew up in Barquisimeto, Venezuela where he attended and graduated with honors from medical school in 2009 from Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado.
Dr. Uribe came to the United States in 2010 and completed his General Surgery Residency in 2018 at Drexel University-Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia.
He moved to Corpus Christi with his family in January 2024 from Kansas where he practiced General Surgery for six years.
Dr. Uribe has a special interest in Robotic and minimally invasive surgery. He performs Robotic surgery for colon cancer and diverticular disease, small bowel disease, abdominal wall hernias and hiatal hernias, gallbladder and appendiceal disease.
He also performs surgery for breast cancer, melanoma, dialysis access including AV fistula and Graft creation and minimally invasive Peritoneal dialysis catheter placement.
Dr. Uribe is Board Certified with the American College of Surgeons.
